Ungoofaaru

Following the 2004 tsunami, inhabitants of the destroyed Kandholhudhoo island were relocated to Ungoofaaru for temporary housing until being rehoused on neighboring Dhvuvaafaaru in 2008.

Following the 2004 tsunami, inhabitants of the destroyed Kandholhudhoo island were relocated to Ungoofaaru for temporary housing until being rehoused on neighboring Dhvuvaafaaru in 2008. Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital, the Northern Province's main hospital, is located on the island.
