Vaavu Fulidhoo is located in Vaavu Atoll (also called Felidhe Atoll) which is just over an hour away from Male International Airport by speedboat. The Island is only 700 metres long by 200 metres wide. That’s right – Fulidhoo Island is super small. If you stand in some spots on the main road, you can see the ocean in four directions. Although the registered population reaches 500, there are only about 200 people who live on the island. The island really is all about the local island vibes – sleepy and quite but stunning in beauty. The island is famous for the perfection of Blue Waters & White Beach. Nevertheless, the island is famous for its traditional Dance “Langiri” – is a traditional local dance for all types of celebrations. More over the island is famous as “Stingray Island” as the lagoon is home to a family of stingrays that greets boats on arrival. On arrival in Fulidhoo, if you look over the edge of your speedboat or ferry, the likelihood is that you will see large stingrays swimming up to the boat.
