Landhoo

Large ruins from the Maldivian Buddhist period may be seen on this island. The locals refer to an old mound on the northwest part of the island as "Maabadhige Haitha." This is the site of the remnants of a Buddhist stupa. The mound has a circumference of 292 feet and a height of 28 feet. The ruins on this island are most likely the most important Buddhist ruins in the Maldives' northern area.
