Hulhumalé

Hulhumalé is a reclaimed island located in the Maldives' North Malé Atoll. The artificial island is being built by pumping sand from the sea floor in order to fulfill the Malé region's current and future housing, industrial, and commercial development needs, as well as to respond to the threat posed by rising sea levels.
