Consisting of more than 1074 people, Haa. Kelaa is located in the eastern side of the atoll, roughly 3 km long and 1 kilometer wide. It has a very interesting history attached to it. In 1934, the British established a staging post here and until the end of World War II, it functioned as the northerly counterpart to RAF Gan in the south of the country. A mosque built during the reign of Sultan Mohamed Ibn Ali or so called Muhammad Mohyeddine is located here as well

Ali Moosa.

He was one of the most famous fisherman in our island. He also received the best fisherman’s award from former President Mohamed Nasheed.

Beeru Dhaitha:

She was an old lady who used to live in a small house all alone. She was deaf and mute. All the kids in the neighborhood used to be scared of her, but she was a very nice and strong woman. She doesn’t have any family members; her husband and her children also have passed away.
